Quality, Testing & Responsible Manufacturing

At Bergh Hybrid Circuits BV (BHC), quality is built into every stage of the process — from research and development to production, inspection, testing and supply chain support. With ISO 9001:2015 certification, IPC-based working methods and integrated capabilities in EMS, hybrid thick-film technology, LED solutions and OEM/ODM assembly, BHC supports reliable product realization for demanding applications worldwide.

BHC combines controlled manufacturing, in-house testing and practical engineering support to help customers move from concept to stable, repeatable production. Our teams work with proven quality methods, modern inspection systems and dedicated test equipment to deliver consistent performance for industrial, medical, office, lighting, horticulture and automotive-related applications.

BHC supports projects with a client-dedicated project leader, design for lean manufacturing and a practical development-to-production approach. This includes fixed project pricing, ERP-based logistics and manufacturing, flexible in- and outsourcing, and added services such as reverse logistics, repair & analysis and technology improvement. With production in ’s-Heerenberg, Doetinchem and Leamington, BHC combines engineering, manufacturing and supply chain support in one organization.

Quality assurance is integrated throughout the production flow. BHC’s manufacturing setup includes SPI solder paste inspection, AOI automatic optical inspection, 3D & 2D, X-ray inspection, visual inspections, dedicated test equipment and packaging QA inspections. In addition, BHC carries out in-house function testing, visual checks and AQL-based quality control, while lighting-related projects can also be supported with spectrum, lumen, CRI, color, thermal testing, IR video, AQL/100% intensity checks and burn-in tests.

A controlled production environment

Reliable and repeatable manufacturing starts with a well-controlled production environment. Within BHC’s production facilities, industrial compressed-air systems, nitrogen generation and stable process infrastructure support daily electronics manufacturing. These systems contribute to consistent process conditions, controlled production parameters and a reliable foundation for PCBA, EMS, hybrid thick-film and OEM/ODM assembly.

For processes such as SMT assembly, soldering, inspection, testing and final assembly, a stable production environment is essential. By keeping critical process utilities such as compressed air and nitrogen available in-house, BHC can maintain controlled manufacturing conditions and support continuity throughout the production process. This helps reduce variation and contributes to repeatable quality in both pilot production and series manufacturing.

BHC’s controlled production environment is directly connected to its broader quality approach. Combined with SPI, AOI, 2D and 3D inspection, X-ray inspection, visual checks, dedicated test equipment, function testing, AQL controls and packaging inspections, it creates a production process where quality is not only checked afterwards, but integrated from the start.

This technical infrastructure forms an important part of BHC’s reliable electronics manufacturing capability: from first prototypes and zero series to stable, repeatable serial production for demanding applications in industrial, medical, office, lighting, horticulture and automotive-related markets.

From research and process knowledge to verified production quality

BHC’s quality approach is not limited to assembly alone. The company profile highlights research into technology, materials and process development, including collaboration with partners such as Fraunhofen institute, TNO, DEKRA and TUV, combined with in-house knowledge of ceramics, viscosity, process behavior, thickness and values. This allows BHC to connect product development, production control, inspection and final verification in one practical workflow.

BHC also links quality to responsibility. In its code of conduct, the company states that it continues to support the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, covering human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. That gives a solid foundation for presenting this page not only as a quality page, but also as a page about responsible manufacturing and long-term customer partnership

Cutting edge technology

Integrated inspection and test strategy

BHC combines process inspection and final verification in one flow, including SPI, AOI, visual inspection, dedicated test equipment, packaging QA and in-house function testing. This structured approach helps reduce variation and supports stable product quality in both pilot and series production.

Advanced AOI capability

With the Yamaha YRi-V AOI, BHC can present a modern inspection environment built around high-speed 3D inspection, fine-resolution imaging, 4-angle views and advanced data preparation support. This makes the inspection setup especially relevant for customers who value traceability, repeatability and accurate defect detection in demanding electronics production.

Research, process control and in-house know-how

BHC supports production quality with knowledge of materials, hybrid processes and test methods developed both in-house and with external institutes. That combination of research, process knowledge and manufacturing experience supports reliable industrialization and practical quality control
